The St. Regis Rome, opened in 1894 by hotelier César Ritz, underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation in 2018.

Interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon breathed new life into The St. Regis, updating it to meet the needs of the 21st century traveler whilst preserving its landmark features.

Every inch of the hotel got a makeover, including the 138 guestrooms and 23 suites. And it certainly didn’t come cheap! More than $45 million was spent on the renovation.

High-ceilinged, light-filled guestrooms and suites have been redesigned with modern, elegant interiors. The monumental lobby is illuminated with natural light and the ballroom boasts restored Pre-Raphaelite frescoes.

The beauty is in the details with marble floors, mosaics, chandeliers and art all helping this hotel back to its former glory.

This dramatic renovation has allowed The St. Regis Rome “to step out into the limelight and truly own Rome.”
