Five New Hotel Openings for 2020

Five New Hotel Openings for 2020

Forbes Travel Guide recently published its 20 Most Anticipated Hotel Openings of 2020. Here are five that I’ll be adding to my bucket list this year.

Six Senses New York

In an unparalleled location, in between Manhattan’s Hudson River and The High Line, two unique, twisting towers, designed by world-renowned architect Bjarke Ingels, will be sure to attract attention when the first Six Senses in North America opens in late 2020. Two restaurants and a Six Senses Spa should get some of those outside taking pictures in through the doors!

Pendry West Hollywood

A little competition for the newly-opened The Edition West Hollywood further down the iconic Sunset Strip, The Pendry by Montage Hotels & Resorts will have 149 luxury guestrooms and suites designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. An additional 40 Pendry residences, celebrity chef restaurant, rooftop pool, entertainment venue, bowling alley and spa will complete this hotel with an anticipated opening in late 2020.

Bvlgari Hotel Paris

Bvlgari Hotel Paris will make its debut in 2020 becoming the collection’s seventh hotel to open in the world ahead of Bvlgari Moscow which is now scheduled for 2022. The 76-room Avenue George V hotel will offer a full range of luxury facilities including a spa with a 25-metre pool and a Bvlgari restaurant and bar with a charming courtyard garden.

Described as a “refined wine country retreat”, this transformative hideaway on a 258-acre property in Sonoma’s wine country is the ideal place to start exploring the region. 130 luxurious bungalow-style guestrooms and suites will blend contemporary influences with environmentally conscious design. Add to this an 11,500-square-foot spa and a farm-to-table restaurant and you’ve got yourself the perfect weekend retreat!

Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Los Cabos

This newly-opened hotel is nestled into the sand dunes of Mexico’s San José del Cabo coastline. It’s a Los Cabos you may not have experienced, away from the hustle and bustle of Cabo San Lucas. Accommodations here invite nature in and guests are encouraged to venture out: sliding glass doors replace traditional walls, terraces are an extension of home, plunge pools provide tranquility and the ritual of bathing is an opportunity to take in fresh air.
